I’m afraid to shut down my laptop for the only reason I won’t be able to log back in because it requires a password and the keys required no longer work and also don’t know if my onscreen keyboard will show up to enter those keys once I’ve shut down. Any thoughts

I’m normally an Apple person. But I’ve just bought an handy Chromebook for when I’m on the road & need to have hybrid meetings using Zoom. All my passwords (inc my Google account) are long secure ones generated by my iMac. It seems kinda counterintuitive to change my Google account to something less secure that I can remember, but I can’t keep having to look up the password on my iPhone every time I login.
