Very good article, I bought a used Chromebook and when the Batt. reaches around 66% (3-4 Hrs) it shuts down by itself, I use “CTRL + ALT + T” to launch Crosh as you wrote so I can see 120 times battery had been used, 86% life left. I assume the batt. is not so old but the Chromebook MFG. had stated that no-more-update for this model’s OS … buy new Chromebook model but I like this one because it is small 10.1″ . If I plug in the Pwr-Cab is no problem. Thank to your article and I’d learned some

Chromebooks don’t run on Chrome. They run on ChromeOS.
As of 6/25/202, Stable Channel Chromebooks aren’t updated separately from the browser.

Updates aren’t done through Chrome the browser, but through ChromeOS the operating system.
