In reply to lordbusiness. you can use it with chromebook but you just have to access it from the chrome browser with remote desktop extension added- clicking the ext just takes you to remotedektop.google.com website. then click share screen

I have been using Chromebooks for years now. I have no luck going from Chromebook to Chromebook in order to help someone an their Chromebook. I have tried Chrome Remote Desktop and it just does not connect even after following the directions. Have you recently tried to go from Chromebook to Chromebook using CRD with success?

Hey PeteJones71,

I believe if you send your location, it’ll pick it up according to the device that’s sending it. So if you’re messaging through your mobile, it’ll send your mobile’s GPS coordinates rather than the Chromebook’s location.

And if you’re sending your location from your Chromebook, it’ll send the Chromebook’s GPS coordinates. So as long as you send it through the laptop, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

So if I link my phone to chromebook and control it with my phone from another location , let’s say I use verizon web messaging or fb messenger can i send someone my location and have it tell them I’m where the chromebook is?
